Applies To: Aditi Software website and related services

This Privacy Policy explains how Aditi Software (“Aditi Software,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit aditisoftware.in, create an account, contact us, purchase or download software, or use related support and digital services (together, the “Services”).

The information we handle depends on how you interact with the Services. This policy does not override rights or obligations that apply under law or a separate written agreement.

This is the website and related-services policy. Product-specific notices explain how individual applications handle information. In particular, DocMate for Android has its own Privacy Policy: its local document processing does not by itself send your documents to us. Visiting this website, making a purchase, or contacting support involves separate website or service processing described here.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide

  • Contact and account details, such as your name, email address, phone number, login information, and billing address.
  • Order and support information, including the products you choose, licence or download details, messages, feedback, and files you send to our support team.
  • Communication preferences, including whether you choose to receive product or promotional updates.

Transaction information

Payments are processed by the payment provider shown at checkout. We may receive transaction status, a payment reference, the amount, and limited billing details needed to confirm and support your order. We do not intentionally collect or store full payment-card numbers or security codes on our servers.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, our systems and service providers may record technical and usage data such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring page, dates and times, approximate location derived from IP, cookie identifiers, diagnostic data, and security events.

Where you use the relevant account features, we also handle an optional profile photograph and school or organisation details you provide. Profile photographs are served from a web-accessible image URL; do not upload confidential documents as a profile picture. Website accounts and accounts for separately connected application services are not necessarily the same account.

Order-attribution information can include the referring site, campaign parameters in a link, entry page, device type, and session page views. When an order is placed, relevant attribution details may be saved with that order. This is website measurement, not a statement that DocMate includes an analytics SDK.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Create and manage accounts, process orders, confirm payments, and provide downloads or licence information.
  • Respond to questions, provide technical support, and send important service or account notices.
  • Understand performance and usage, troubleshoot errors, and develop useful features.
  • Protect users, prevent fraud or misuse, and maintain the security of our systems.
  • Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements and enforce our agreements.
  • Send marketing communications when you have opted in or when otherwise permitted by applicable law. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Account creation, deletion, password-recovery, order and support messages are service communications and are separate from optional marketing. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is carried out on the basis appropriate to the activity, such as performing a requested contract, complying with legal obligations, consent where required, or a permitted legitimate interest in operating and securing the Services.

3. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and browser storage for the following purposes:

Account, cart, checkout and security

WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies to maintain sign-in and shopping sessions, associate a cart with a browser, and support checkout and security. Payment or other service providers may use their own cookies when their features are used.

Display preferences

The website stores your light/dark appearance choice in browser local storage under aditisoftware-theme. You can change it using the theme control or clear it through your browser’s site-data settings.

Order attribution and measurement

WooCommerce order attribution is enabled. Its sbjs_* cookies record session and traffic-source information, such as referral or campaign information, entry pages and page-view counts, to help us understand which visits lead to orders. Relevant information is saved with an order when one is placed. These attribution cookies are generally session-based; sbjs_session uses a 30-minute default expiry. Order records may remain after the browser cookies expire.

These measurement cookies are distinct from cookies needed for sign-in or checkout. We do not describe the website as tracking-free. Any additional analytics or marketing technologies are subject to the disclosures and consent requirements applicable to their use.

Your controls

You can inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser. Blocking necessary storage can affect sign-in, cart or checkout functionality. Deleting browser data does not delete information already saved with an order. Contact us if you need help understanding the available controls. Where consent is legally required for non-essential technologies, it must be obtained separately; merely visiting this page does not provide that consent.

4. WHEN WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not share personal information simply for others to use for their own unrelated purposes. We may share limited information in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors that help with hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics, customer support, security, and other business operations, subject to their role and applicable obligations.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When reasonably necessary to comply with law or a valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or prevent fraud or security threats.
  • Business changes. In connection with a reorganisation, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
  • With your direction. When you ask us to share information or give permission for a specific purpose.

Some providers may process information from locations outside your state or country. Where required, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate protections for those transfers.

Hosting and website-delivery infrastructure includes Hostinger; the storefront runs on WordPress and WooCommerce. Payment and email providers receive information needed for the transaction or message involved. Their role may be that of a service provider acting for us or an independent provider under its own notice. We do not promise that providers operate only within India or that all website information stays on your device.

5. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

6. RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Services, maintaining transaction or account records, meeting legal and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it is held. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it, subject to lawful requirements and routine backup cycles.

There is no single automatic deletion deadline for every website record. Inactive accounts and completed orders are not currently configured for automatic expiry in the store settings. Retention is assessed against the purposes and obligations above; you can ask us about a particular record using the contact details below.

The website Delete Account function, when successful, removes the website account, its profile photograph, linked WooCommerce orders, stored payment-token records and download permissions. It does not guarantee removal of separate payment-provider records, support correspondence, account-notification records, backups or a separate application-service account. Deletion failures can leave partial results. Save information you need and contact support before deleting an account if you have an unresolved order or need assistance.

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to ask us to access, correct, update, delete, or provide a copy of certain personal information, or to restrict or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may be able to withdraw that consent.

You may also update available account information, manage browser cookies, or use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails. To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain or decline a request where permitted or required by law. You may also have a right to raise a concern with the relevant authority in your location.

Signed-in customers can use the My Account controls to update supported details or request deletion through Delete Account, which requires confirmation and the current password. For access, correction, deletion or other requests beyond those controls, email support@aditisoftware.in. Identify the relevant website or application account so we can address the correct records. We handle requests within applicable legal time limits. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing already lawfully carried out.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The website’s account and purchasing features are intended for people legally able to use them, or for use with the authorisation of a parent or legal guardian where permitted. They are not directed to children under 13; this statement does not reduce protections or parental-consent requirements that apply to older children under applicable law.

If an educational application is made available to a child by a parent, guardian, school or other organisation, the relevant product notice and applicable law govern that use. The responsible adult or organisation must have authority to provide information and obtain required permissions; this does not remove any obligations that apply to Aditi Software. Contact us if a child has provided information without appropriate authorisation so we can review and take appropriate action.

9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The Services may link to or work with third-party websites, payment providers, platforms, or applications. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review their notices before providing information. This policy applies only to information handled by Aditi Software.

Our responsibility for our own handling of information, and for service providers acting on our behalf, remains subject to applicable law. Following an external link does not mean that a third party’s independent practices are covered by this policy.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law. Please review this page periodically.

An updated notice does not by itself authorise a new use of personal information or replace consent where consent is required.

11. CONTACT US

For privacy questions or requests, contact Aditi Software at support@aditisoftware.in or +91 72760 07520. Postal correspondence may be addressed to Aditi Software, Roha, Raigad, Maharashtra 402109, India.
